Friday, for the second time in as many months, there was a major wildfire just west of my neighborhood. While I was at work they evacuated everyone nearby, and by the time I came home it was a ghost town. The firefighters (including my flatmate, pictured below) got the fire under control by late evening, so there was no threat.
